You cannot leave Iraq unless you have a stable government. Iraq is in a civil war right now. If we were to leave Iraq with unstable leadership, Iran will more than likely take over part of Iraq and who knows what would happen with the Kurdish section of Iraq. As much as I am devastated by the level of death that happens each and every day with our own troops and Iraqi civilian, is it morally right for the US to leave and show more devastation. Of course, this would all be moot if we would have never entered Iraq under false pretenses. I ask the political people in charge of this country to stop thinking about how this will affect their careers and think about what is best for the US, Iraq, AND the rest of the world. Are we better off spending money on a country that we don't own or focusing on domestic? I would say the latter. Unfortunately, we have made our bed and now we must lie in it.
